Shannon Pappas - Pastor / Head of Staff |
Shannon came to FPCSM in early 2008 as a transplant from Texas. He loves the people of FPCSM and the diversity as well as the beauty of the area. He believes that Jesus is not only Lord and King, but also the most unique, amazing, and wonderful person who has ever lived – one who refused to be boxed in and yet who is completely worthy of shaping one’s life around. Shannon is excited about a church that sees itself not as a club or a stuffy institution but as a vibrant, close-knit family that whole-heartedly loves God; cares for and encourages one another; and seeks to serve and bless its community and the world in the name and way of Jesus. Shannon is married to Karen and together God has blessed them with four children in whom they find great delight and joy. (650) 345-1633 x226 - shannonp@fpcsm.org |

Melissa Brumbaugh - Administrator of Finance & Operations |
Melissa, along with her husband, Steve, has been an active member of FPCSM since 1985 after moving to San Mateo from Ohio. In 2002, God made it abundantly clear (ask her for details) that He wanted her to use her 20+ years of accounting experience to join our staff as the bookkeeper/accountant. In 2008, oversight of the church facility and office operations were added to her responsibilities. In her spare time, Melissa considers it a huge privilege and blessing to volunteer with the children at Kingdom Club and Vacation Bible Camp, teaching them songs that reinforce God’s truths and how much Jesus loves them! Melissa and Steve have two fantastic children, a son and daughter, who are both full-time college students, a dog and two cats round out their household. (650) 345-1633 x224 - melissab@fpcsm.org |

Chris Copeland - Maintenance Technician |
Chris was born and raised in San Mateo County, and was actually baptized here at FPCSM as a child. Since 1978, he worked in the carpet cleaning business, and owned and operated his own carpet and upholstery cleaning company for 15 years. He says, however, that the most beloved job he has had has been here at FPCSM, where he has "found his fit." Chris is single and the proud father of four wonderful children from 25 to 30 years of age. He is the son of a "strong and gracious" mother, but gained his most important title yet, proud grandfather, when his first grandson, Aiden, was born. |

Gladys Gardner - Children's Ministry |
After 15+ years working in the high-tech industry, Gladys was thrilled when God called her to join the staff here at FPCSM where she could focus on her true passion – telling kids about Jesus and showing them his love! For Gladys, Jesus is the perfect example of love, grace, mercy, forgiveness and obedience to God that she hopes to follow more each day. A favorite quote from The God Who Comes by Carlo Carretto says, “When I endure, in the darkness of faith, the prolonged wait for the God who comes, he has already come to me and is embracing me silently, with the same embrace with which I, in faith, embrace him.” Gladys loves that God made the first move to come to us in love. Other things Gladys is crazy about include her daughter and son, books, travel and Rocky Road ice cream! (650) 345-1633 x225 - gladysg@fpcsm.org |
